Something Special

This simple blog was only created to stop a Google bomb. There are those who are looking for the truth about something. Scott Morrow is blind to a lot of the truth. John Cook got it wrong, Vanessa Grigoriadis only re-wrote garbage she found on the internet. Much of her stuff is just garbage. 20/20 may fail, I am the only one who dug deep to find the truth. Should I take it to my grave? Some times they hide text such as SSNs by changing the font to hidden.
I expect the average reader to find this one blog very very cryptic.

Miners all dead.
The number of deaths is now nine. No body can last this long without food and water. Some times being right is not always the preferred outcome. One member is a deputy sheriff, she lives in Ohio and participates in the harassment.

Do not touch PMS

A good friend of mine (KB9KOI) purchased the Yaesu FT-757GX when he first got into ham radio. This is a nice rig but at the time neither of us knew much about the things. This radio had a button on the front labeled PMS, I believe that means "Programmable Memory Scan" but at the time we thought it meant something else. After spending several hours with the thing I had figured out what every button did and how to operate the radio. Except for one button, "PMS", Carlos also spent a lot of time with the radio and knew what each button did. Especially that button, PMS. From what he said "if you ever touch that button the radio would just go NUTS" Of course I had to press PMS just to see what it did. Boy was I in for a surprise! Sure enough that radio just took off like a crazy female. She was racing up and down the band, changing frequency, lights blinking off and on, the VU meter was just a jumping back and forth. I was pressing every button on the thing trying to stop it but she just kept on going, relays clicking, frequency changing jumping across different bands dammed if that thing did not have PMS.

BPL

That is Broadband over Power Lines. Several years ago I got a call from another amateur operator, with the instructions to monitor BPL emissions. When I heard about it all I could think of was FAST INTERNET, I never cared if it would cause problems with ham radio. Now the ARRL has received several complaints about it. Of all the interferences received by amateur radio I think BPL is the least of our worries. In most states Cable Internet has taken over and BLP will never get a foot hold anyways. But, BPL is not in my area, so it is very hard for me to form any kind of opinion on the subject.

Draft

It seems every day they talk about a draft. It will sneak up on us before you know it. It won't take long before the younger generation recognizes the military is full of it.

I would like to tell every one what I think of it. My father was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He never got sent over sees and he did not enjoy every minute of his time in the service. He entered as a cook, that is what he liked to do. He even baked a birth day cake for Eisenhower. (Eisenhower requested him.)

But the U.S. Army has a policy they never tell you about. You will not be placed where you want to be. And you may not do what you want to do. So they made my dad an MP (that is military police for those of you who don't know.) One time a he was on his way to a bar fight when the driver of the jeep crashed on purpose putting him and the driver in the hospital. The driver was a coward, afraid to do his duty for fear of getting beat up. The MP core is nothing but guard duty or a glorified guard. He spent some time at a POW camp as a guard. One smart-alecky North Korean would always step over the line even after being told he could be shot. My dad's orders was, If one of them escapes you take his place. My dad was not a killer but he once unloaded his machine gun at the feet of the North Korean. If you paint it gray you can't hide it.
About three weeks before my dads call to duty was up the lieutenant asked for his Tommy gun when handing it back to him the lieutenant dropped it in the mud. My dad was then busted from staff sergeant down to a corporal. He was then told that what the lieutenant did was illegal, and he would be given his rank back if he reenlisted. Under the gray you will find red and white
My dad has corporal on his grave.

Six dead from coal mine accident?

That's the news coming up this week.

Bob Murray, has tried to blame the cave in on an earth quake. (blame it on God) That is what the rich do every time bad happens. My heart tells me this time they are dead. It seams the lives of coal miners have been spared the last several times it hit the news this big. But in Indiana they died. Guess you never read about that one. I believe if they had a beautiful blond down there in that mine we would be spending more money to dig them out. And a bigger scandal when we find out fraud and a scandal is involved. I pray, I pray, I pray I am wrong on this one. Some bodies husband is down there. Some bodies father is down there. Why can't we have better regulations on coal mine safety?

Human Skull

In the news today.
Woman Buys Box at Auction, Finds Human Skull Inside
The woman turned the skull over to police, who said it was relatively clean and don't believe foul play was involved.

Looks to me she did not know what she had. As you can see here that thing is worth six thousand five hundred dollars. I am sure she could have gotten a quick four thousand with a buy it now on EBAY.

Imagine owning your own REAL HUMAN SKULL. With ethics today it is not likely some one is just going to sell you their head or any one else's head for any price.

K9PP

About 17 years ago, (when I got back into Ham-radio after ten years ) I convinced several of my CB buddies to follow and get an amateur call sign and join the wonderful world of HAM RADIO. One of the first things we did was purchase a rig with the ability to talk and listen to other HAM radio operators. One of "the hurtles" getting a ham radio license at that time was passing the code test. You needed five words per minute to get on the HF frequency and thirteen to talk on the lower frequencies (Below 28mhz) as was custom those of us who where having a hard time passing that code test would just get on the air illegally. As a joke a friend of mine used the call K9PP. This is a valid extra call sign that was not in use at the time. Most call books where either the paper kind or a CD that did not contain any of the newly authorized licenses. He chose the call because of the derogatory remark of a dog relieving himself. He spent hours each night on the HF band racking up contacts and no other operator got the better of it.

All in good fun those of us who did things like that where given the name LID. Recently I looked up the call. I found it is now in use by Julius Simon of Morton Grove IL. I would like to say to Julius, "Old man if you step on down to 3.960Mhz you may find a few friends you never knew you had" No pun intended but I would like to wrap up with this little fact. The call sign KF6GRL belongs to David Cudaback and the call sign KF6BOY belongs to Linda O'Kane. The individual who used the call sign K9PP illegally is now a VE in southern Indiana.

NBC PWNED

The guys that talk about it there don't do it. If the reporter ever cornered some one everything she got would be nothing but B.S. anyways. That is nothing new for NBC,
